Leading up to Hearing Impaired Awareness Month in September 2015, the agency worked with the client to come up with a creative idea around the awareness drive for those with hearing impairments in the workplace.
ManpowerGroup South Africa is a long-standing client of LWBC, having been working alongside us for more than five years. The agency developed a press release around this – but this was no usual press release. The release was translated into sign language, and send to the media in that way, with the headline “Imagine if no one understood you in the workplace….”.
The media had to work out how to decipher the press release (we included the written lines in between the lines of sign, in white) – which further highlighted some of the challenges that those with hearing impairments go through daily.
